Tragedy in the Philippines - You can help

Haiyan_baby.jpgThe tragedy in the Philippines is heartbreaking; but together we can provide aide to the victims of Typhoon Haiyan. Your support is invaluable to families and children that are in need of basic necessities such as food and water.  On behalf of UNICEF's work to help victims of the typhoon, I am hosting a fundraiser on Tuesday, November 19 in Century City.  Please attend, and if you're unable to be there in person, donate to support the relief efforts.  Please use this link to donate.

Please attend the event on Tuesday, November 19th from 6:30 to 8:30 PM to donate to this important cause.  The event will take place at Smith House 10351 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90025.  At the event, you'll hear about the relief efforts. Our goal is to have over 100 people at this event and for individuals attending to make pledges/donations and to raise $10,000 for the relief effort. Special thanks to the amazing Jaime Meyer for her help creating this event.  You can see the complete invite to the event, with the full host committee, here.
I wanted to share this message that my friend Baron (who lives in Chicago) placed on his facebook page. Imagine being thousands of miles away trying to find your family after a natural disaster. You support is so important to thousands of families in the Philippines.

"My city, Tacloban city is completely destroyed. Cousin is alive. Waiting for news of grandma and other family members close to LNU. Cousin said they are looting for food. No water to drink. All the money cannot buy anything because stores are wiped out. If you have any news from Jaro please let me know. I have a chunk of family there as well.         -baron
